After the pandemic closed Lisa’s fitness center, she was looking for a way to keep up her Pilates practice. She loves the virtual options at Northwoods Pilates because they’re convenient and make her stronger and more flexible. Listen below to why the mind-body connection in Pilates is so important.
Cassie: Hi, Lisa!
Lisa: Hi, Cassie!
Cassie: So, for several months now you have been participating in online group Pilates classes. What made you want to get started with those?
Lisa: Actually, you know it was really related to the pandemic. The fitness center that I was attending closed down and I really wanted to keep up with my Pilates practice, so I just love the virtual options and being able to do that from home these last 9 months.
Cassie: Yeah, so, you’ve enjoyed the virtual classes so far?
Lisa: They’re great! It’s so convenient. I love being able to just be at home and, you have so many convenient times that it makes it really easy to find a time that works with my work schedule.
Cassie: Do you have any advice for anyone considering Pilates, especially virtual Pilates?
Lisa: I think everybody should try it. I feel with the mind-body connection it’s just really good for your mental health, and I feel a lot stronger since I’ve been doing it, and more flexible, and it’s just so convenient. Everybody should give it a try.
Cassie: Awesome. Is there anything else that you would like to add?
Lisa: I love being able to either have my camera on or off, and the times are great, and the different levels of classes, and I really like the different props that you bring in too, it just changes it up.
