On Sunday mornings at 7 a.m. I log into Zoom and join two other Pilates teachers for a semi-private Pilates class taught by my mentor – Carey Sadler of Rivercity Pilates. I’ve been teaching Pilates for over a decade and practice on my own, but there is nothing like having a teacher to guide your practice! These classes have been so fun and worth every penny.
A few days after the first class I was appreciating (okay – complaining) to my husband that my muscles were sore. He said, “Good. Now do that three times a week.” Oof, tough love at its finest.
Last week I finished class and came upstairs to find my husband smiling at the breakfast table. He said, “I love listening to you during your sessions. You’re so happy when you’re doing Pilates.”
That’s just it. Pilates brings me joy. It makes me strong physically; works out any kinks in my body; and floods my brain with happy chemicals. I see the same thing in my clients when they finish their sessions. They leave the studio happier and more confident than when they came.
The joy of Pilates is something I love to share with others. To try a complimentary first session, email Cassie at cassie@northwoodspilates.com for more information.
