Have you ever made it to the end of the day and thought: uff, I did not move enough today? Maybe your shoulders and neck ache or your low back is stiff? As a nation, we are sitting more than ever and spending a lot of our days hunched forward. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
Our Pilates Stretch classes are 25 minutes of gentle movement and dedicated stretching time. The classes are designed to give you a break from your day to check in with your body, posture, and stress level. Each class combines elements of Pilates and general stretching techniques.
Here’s what you need to know before joining a class:
No Pilates experience is required!
The classes are designed for everyone. In fact, we LOVE beginners.
Our classes are all virtual – you don’t have to commute or even leave your house.
The class is scheduled to fit in over a lunch hour, but you can always register for the class and request a recording if the timing doesn’t work in your schedule.
You will feel better after the class than you did before you began.
Pilates has been proven to reduce aches and pains.
By scheduling your classes in advance, you are more likely to take a break in your day and make time for movement.
We recommend three props (or at-home substitutes) for these classes: a stretchy band, a 9-inch inflatable ball, and a foam roller. You can substitute leggings or a cloth bandage for the stretchy band, a pillow for the ball, and either a pillow or a package of paper towels still in the plastic wrap for the foam roller.
Taking small steps each week will lead to big results: better flexibility, less pain, and more energy. Check out our full class schedule here, and then let’s get moving!
